Scorch Received his Christmas Miracle
Now its his Mom's Turn!

Scorch is a beautiful 3 - 4 month old blue weimaraner puppy who was dumped at a shelter when the breeder found he couldn't find a buyer for a puppy with a broken leg! It was determined that Scorch's broken knee was the result of abuse. We knew that his mother was also surrendered at the same time, but our efforts were concentrated on getting Scorch medical attention and the shelter stated Mom seemed to be fine. After the determination of abuse was revealed, the Marshalltown Rescue League wasted no time in getting Gracie to the vet to be examined. It was discovered that Gracie has also been abused. Gracie is suffering from a broken pelvis that didn't heal properly, the ball of her femur is rubbing against the pelvis causing her pain. Gracie will make her trip to Kansas City to her new foster on Dec. 21.
She is scheduled to see Dr. Becker (our vet who did Charlie and Parker's surgery) Monday, December 22nd, and surgery is scheduled for Tuesday. Gracie deserves a chance to have it fixed right. Due to the usual before the holidays "weimaraner dump" on HWR, our bank account is running very low and we are not able to afford the surgery for Scorch's leg. Usually we simply ask the Weimaraner World for help, this time we are begging. We all remember the miracles Dr. Becker did for Charlie and Parker, please help us make a Christmas Miracle happen for Gracie by donating money to her medical fund.
